This is an older variant called Dress Stuart - note the "French spelling" (see Dress Stewart Tartan History). Polyester ribbon with stitched edges. Colourfast and approved for use with edible items. Image shown is of 38mm width ribbon - as ribbon becomes narrower, the tartan check can appear slightly "stretched" along its width. This tartan ribbon is produced by a different weaver and is slightly thinner quality that that available on 25m (27½yd) reels, so edges may not be completely flat. 50m bulk tartan ribbon is available in 12mm (½") and 38mm (1½) widths only. Because of the excellent value, smaller lengths are not available in this particular ribbon.
